The Second Shoe Drops on Socialist Globalisation

Donald Trump winning the presidency based on his promise to torpedo globalism came exactly 27 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, and represents the second leg down for “World Socialism.”

Although U.S. history books declare capitalist United States the victor in World War II, it was World Socialism <https://www.wsws.org/> that ended up dominating most of the globe. Soviet Union and China carved out massive communist states, India adopted extreme socialism, and communist insurgencies were ascendant in Southeast Asia, Africa and South America.

Socialist governments controlled Western Europe and the idea that the state should play some kind of role in economic life was not seen as strange or unusual. Socialists differed on just how extensive the role of the state should be, but all agreed that “natural monopolies” like the railroad, phone service, health and electricity should be nationalised.

Black Gold….Texas Tea

wolfcampshale2016Since Donald Trump’s election, environmental zealots have mostly had a very rough two weeks — and Donald Trump has had nothing to do with any of it.

Two developments they consider really bad (meaning good for the rest of us) far outweigh the single item they’re celebrating. First, in Wyoming, just two days after the election, their “fracking is bad” Exhibit A in Pavillion, Wyoming was completely discredited. Second, in Texas this week, a huge oil discovery was reported — so big and unprecedented that the only commenter at the Associated Press’s coverage of the story at the Washington Post wrote: “This … should be front-page news given its economic and geopolitical impact” — but of course it’s not.

Neither good-for-us, bad-for-them story is getting adequate press attention.

That’s just the start:

The Wolfcamp Shale geologic formation in the Midland area also contains an estimated 16 trillion cubic feet of natural gas and 1.6 billion barrels of natural gas liquids, the agency said in a release.

The descent of the DNC (Denial is NOT a river in Egypt)

A month ago, progressives were having a conniption fit over Trump’s refusal to accept the outcome of the election. So of course, now that Trump has won, they are rioting, vandalizing, staging “cry-ins,” ditching class, group-hugging, tweeting threats, calling names, seeking counseling, and doing everything in their power to make sure that their party declines even further. If this behavior continues, and if––a big “if” –– Trump governs the way he promised, we may be witnessing the start of the progressive disintegration.

Start with the melting snowflake millennials, all those “cocksure women and hensure men,” as D.H. Lawrence once described feminists of both sexes. These layabouts have become used to throwing tantrums whenever they don’t like something or they feel “unsafe.” Most of them are spoiled brats, the pampered detritus of the middle class. But don’t forget the Alinskyite activists who manipulate these juveniles and bus them in on George Soros’ dime. These two-bit Leninists are adept at using “useful idiots” in order to further their aim of destroying America’s political and social order. They’re skilled at manipulating empty slogans like “income inequality,” “fair share,” “social justice,” “diversity,” “inclusion,” and all the other bumper-sticker bromides in order to consolidate and increase their power and influence.

The Chinese economy’s reckoning with their own ‘Freddy Mac and Fanny Mae’ type crisis

China’s banks are disguising bad debts by turning them into “securitized packages” rather than writing them down as non-performing loans, according to the IMF. Where have I heard that before I hear you chime in? Remember the 2007-8 financial near meltdown, with bankrupt banks, the raids on the tax base to bail out the ‘Bank-sters’,and those pesky ‘credit default swaps’ and CDOs (Collateralized Debt Obligations). Otherwise known as selling worthless pieces of paper with ridiculous fiscal promises scribbled on them for millions and billions of dollars. And after all of the dust settled who remembers those newly minted ‘Bespoke Tranche Opportunities’, that began to reappear a few years later, also known as more of the same ‘worthless pieces of paper with ridiculous fiscal promises scribbled on them for millions and billions of dollars’?

Obviously members of the global financial elite community are either ‘slow learners’ or they are criminal  narcissists pathologically addicted to wealth, with no ethical restrictions on how they get the filthy lucre.

And so after a hiatus of just 8 years it’s now China’s turn to sell its ‘fiscal soul’.

Trump’s Incoming US Cabinet & Senior Advisory Appointments backgrounder ‘Education’

Betsy DeVos, the right choice for education secretary

Donald Trump has chosen conservative reformer Betsy DeVos to be his education secretary. A better choice would be hard to find.

First under George W. Bush and the No Child Left Behind Act, then under Barack Obama and a long list of intrusive initiatives, the federal government’s role in education has metastasized, growing more and more aggressively in recent years. The Department of Education has bribed states with “Race to the Top” funds to adopt its standards, established prohibitive teacher-licensing requirements that keep competent teachers out of the classroom, and even inserted itself into the prosecution of on-campus sex crimes. And what is there to show for it? In October 2015, the semi-annual National Assessment of Educational Progress, the “nation’s report card,” showed no student progress in mathematics for the first time in 20 years and reading scores dropping for the first time in a decade.
