As many as 691 MEPs took part in the voting on this advisory resolution. It was passed by 304 votes to 179, with 208 abstentions.

The document holds that such propaganda forms part of a ‘hybrid war’ and seeks “to distort the truth, provoke doubt, divide the EU and its North American partners, paralyze the decision-making process, discredit EU institutions and incite fear and uncertainty among EU citizens.

A ‘reordering’ of the Middle East as Trump / Flynn engage in Syria and aim to win.

‘Normally US president elects sit on their hands awaiting their formal inauguration before beginning their administration’s tasks. Not so President Elect Trump. Typical of an outsider when it comes to the unwritten rules of the ‘political game’. Trump has the Constitutional authority to act immediately if he wishes, and that is exactly what he is doing. With the Syrian civil war entering its strategic end phase’ both Trump and his newly minted National Security Advisor General Mike Flynn want to make their mark in Syria, to seize the initiative and be a ‘key player’ in the post Syrian civil war wash-up.

Trump’s National Security Adviser Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn is already in close touch with the Head of the Russian Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, as well as President Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey and Jordan’s King Abdullah. Just a week after Trump’s election he dispatched his most trusted lieutenant , his son, to engage with the Russian Foreign Minister to set the stage for a direct engagement with the Russians over Syria. The initially covert discussions between Flynn and his Russian counterparts are preparing the ground for a combined assault on the Islamic State’s bastions in Iraq and Syria shortly after Trump moves into the White House. The plan of operation would also involve the regular armies of Turkey, Jordan, Iraq and Persian Gulf nations.

Black Gold….Texas Tea

wolfcampshale2016Since Donald Trump’s election, environmental zealots have mostly had a very rough two weeks — and Donald Trump has had nothing to do with any of it.

Two developments they consider really bad (meaning good for the rest of us) far outweigh the single item they’re celebrating. First, in Wyoming, just two days after the election, their “fracking is bad” Exhibit A in Pavillion, Wyoming was completely discredited. Second, in Texas this week, a huge oil discovery was reported — so big and unprecedented that the only commenter at the Associated Press’s coverage of the story at the Washington Post wrote: “This … should be front-page news given its economic and geopolitical impact” — but of course it’s not.

Neither good-for-us, bad-for-them story is getting adequate press attention.

That’s just the start:

The Wolfcamp Shale geologic formation in the Midland area also contains an estimated 16 trillion cubic feet of natural gas and 1.6 billion barrels of natural gas liquids, the agency said in a release.

The Chinese economy’s reckoning with their own ‘Freddy Mac and Fanny Mae’ type crisis

China’s banks are disguising bad debts by turning them into “securitized packages” rather than writing them down as non-performing loans, according to the IMF. Where have I heard that before I hear you chime in? Remember the 2007-8 financial near meltdown, with bankrupt banks, the raids on the tax base to bail out the ‘Bank-sters’,and those pesky ‘credit default swaps’ and CDOs (Collateralized Debt Obligations). Otherwise known as selling worthless pieces of paper with ridiculous fiscal promises scribbled on them for millions and billions of dollars. And after all of the dust settled who remembers those newly minted ‘Bespoke Tranche Opportunities’, that began to reappear a few years later, also known as more of the same ‘worthless pieces of paper with ridiculous fiscal promises scribbled on them for millions and billions of dollars’?

Obviously members of the global financial elite community are either ‘slow learners’ or they are criminal  narcissists pathologically addicted to wealth, with no ethical restrictions on how they get the filthy lucre.

And so after a hiatus of just 8 years it’s now China’s turn to sell its ‘fiscal soul’.

Trump’s Incoming US Cabinet & Senior Advisory Appointments backgrounder ‘Education’

Betsy DeVos, the right choice for education secretary

Donald Trump has chosen conservative reformer Betsy DeVos to be his education secretary. A better choice would be hard to find.

First under George W. Bush and the No Child Left Behind Act, then under Barack Obama and a long list of intrusive initiatives, the federal government’s role in education has metastasized, growing more and more aggressively in recent years. The Department of Education has bribed states with “Race to the Top” funds to adopt its standards, established prohibitive teacher-licensing requirements that keep competent teachers out of the classroom, and even inserted itself into the prosecution of on-campus sex crimes. And what is there to show for it? In October 2015, the semi-annual National Assessment of Educational Progress, the “nation’s report card,” showed no student progress in mathematics for the first time in 20 years and reading scores dropping for the first time in a decade.
